I've never liked Lynne Cheney. Years ago, when I would see her on television bashing democrats with typical republican propaganda, she seemed as slimy as her husband and other politicians who will say and do anything to get elected or to keep their man in power. In spite of my personal views, however, I never felt the need to speak up publicly against her.

Now, however, with her shrew-like speech calling John Kerry an "evil man" because in the last debate, in an awkward attempt to talk about equal rights for gays he mentioned her lesbian daughter, she has given me reason to speak. The diatribe by Darth Vader's wife was a brilliant political move because all the right wing radio and television stations - and that includes CNN, the station that conservative radicals like to call either the "communist news network" or the "Clinton news network" - have spent days talking about poor Mrs. Cheney's plight, days that should have been spent talking about how and why George Bush lost all three debates and is ruining the country....
